Compatibility and support

The JRebel agent skill depends on two separate compatibility requirements:

  • Agent compatibility: Your agent environment must support the skill or instruction format documented in the skill repository.

  • JRebel compatibility: Your application stack must be supported by JRebel.

The JRebel skill version in the rebel-skill repository is 2026.07.10. The repository states that the skill follows the Agent Skills open standard and is intended for JVM applications that run on JDK 8 or later.

The repository currently includes setup guidance for the following:

Agent support can change independently of JRebel product releases. Check the rebel-skill repository for the latest skill files and agent-specific setup instructions.

  • Claude Code

  • Cursor

  • Codex

  • Gemini CLI

  • Generic Agent-Skills-compatible tools

The agent skill does not define a separate JRebel product version range. Refer to both the rebel-skill repository and Supported JVMs, IDEs, application servers and frameworks to verify that your JVM, IDE, application server, and framework are supported.
